New music from Tymie Tuesday

Golden is out on all platforms!

I'm Tymie and I'm just just now getting comfortable with calling myself an artist. I've been making music since before I can remember, but started sharing it with others at the age of 17. Music has always been at the forefront of my life- I'm currently studying Music Business at NYU because of it. I attended an arts magnet before NYU, and grew up in the Dallas art scene, but upon moving to NYC have been heavily inspired by the city and it's creators. My musical influences include artists all over the genre spectrum ranging from Alabama Shakes to Lorde. Right now, I'd describe myself as a bedroom/indie soul artist, but ultimately, I just want to create music that speaks to people, regardless of genre. After months of isolating alone in New York, I briefly got to visit a close friend of mine in the beautiful coastal town of Duxbury. Finally getting to be back in nature brought a revelation for me. I felt excited about life again and wanted to hold on to that feeling. I was inspired to write a song that expressed how far I’ve come as a person, especially after spending so much time in isolation. “Golden” was a turning point for me. It's about self love, acceptance, and the journey it took to get there. The song was a collaboration between myself and Tyler Wyatt of the band Surfliner.
